One of my first questions to clients is "What decisions are you trying to make?" or "What goals are you trying to reach?" We start with the end in mind, and create a plan to get you there. And if those things aren't clear, we'll define them together as the first step.

I started The Pragmatique after 20+ years working for large and mid-size businesses, growing through the ranks from research to marketing to business leadership, balancing strategic planning with execution. In shifting to the smaller end of mid-size businesses, it became clear that the specializations I'd become used to in larger organizations - in product management, strategy, various facets of marketing, managing data, and research and analytics - were either under-resourced or just weren't there.
But they were needed!
In looking for tools and consultants to help my smaller companies succeed, I felt like I was getting either the cheap version of what the big guys had or some cookie-cutter template that didn't meet my needs. I was faced with constant pressure to upgrade (or give them more business) so that I could get A-team support. Flashing back to my early days working with the big strategy consulting firms, they didn't seem to respect our culture, resources or budget either when proposing their plans. I didn't want to settle and none of it felt right.
So I said, "To heck with that!" and set out to do things differently.
Now, I support small teams with big dreams as a partner, an extension of the team. I help them define their goals, build their tools, their plans and their products, expand their capabilities and get things done in a practical way that meets them where they are, while leveraging my years of experience to help them get to where they want to go. Now these small teams can have an extra set of hands, the research and customer insights they've wanted and the strategic marketing support they need, without busting budgets or adding headcount. (And when things work out, we can design and grow that too.)
With a commitment to action and ideas that can actually be implemented, I have no interest in just providing pretty PowerPoint decks that get filed away and forgotten, rather, I want to collaborate with my partners, share and teach skills, create understanding and excitement, and help to see things through.
People are my true passion.
I love marketing and strategy work, but in anything I do, I aim to understand and see people, ignite passion and build skills in others. Together we can do awesome things! And we do them better when we're connected and caring for one another. This way of working empowers my partners to reach their retention, engagement and growth goals and fills my cup every day!
We're all trying to do more with less these days - lean teams, tight budgets, a growing tech stack and all sorts of other challenges. But here's the thing - we're ALL feeling it! So when we work together, let's laugh, let's be our genuine selves and let's have fun along the way!
